About Jason

Jason is a husband, and father of five, who works IT support from his home in Tuscan, AZ.

HOW HE USED GARAGE GYM ATHLETE

He joined Garage Gym Athlete about 2 years ago and was very focused on strength improvement during that time. Saw great gains in all his lifts but as he was evaluating his all-around abilities, he noticed a big hole in my aerobic fitness. He then decided to dedicate all of 2020 to the Endure track and see how much progress he could make while hanging on to as much of his strength as he could.

Results

Jasons squat and deadlift have decreased about 10% from lifetime PR's for powerlifting, while my bench has gone up about 5%. The majority of his gains have been aerobic. My 5k run has gone from 35 to 30 min, resting heart rate has gone from 60 to 50, and VO2 Max has gone from 31 to 37. He has also really fallen in love with trail running. He has already done an 18k race, has a 30k planned, and is working up to a 50 miler.

HIS BEST ADVICE FOR GARAGE GYM ATHLETES…

Just stick with it. Consistency is king. You can find the greatest program in the world but if you don’t stick with it it’s not gonna do you any good.
