About Clint

Clint is 42-years-old, married, and has a 6-year-old old son. He is an Industrial Tech teacher, has a handyman/construction business on the side, and helps administer youth rugby in the state of Iowa. He enjoys playing rugby, specifically 7's and touch rugby because of the incredible conditioning needed.

HOW HE USED GARAGE GYM ATHLETE

He has worked out in his 9' x 9' basement gym since 2016. He has been lifting weights since he was 17. He has tried chasing a friend of his who is a bodybuilder, but late in life has focused on strength, more recently functional strength. He finds the Garage Gym Athlete programming is varied enough to keep his attention and makes sense. "There is a reason for every movement." He also feels more a part of the GGA community than 10+ years at a local gym.

Results

Since joining GGA in January of '20, he has dropped 25+ lbs; raised his front squat to 295lbs from 225; and has lowered his mile time by 2.5 minutes. His big lifts aren't quite as high as when he was younger, he is more fit than he has ever been and has the stamina to work hard all day. The knowledge shared through the podcasts and classes brings everything together. He also hasn't missed a workout or logging into the app in months.

HIS BEST ADVICE FOR GARAGE GYM ATHLETES…

Don’t waste money on supplements if you aren’t going to eat properly. And warm-up properly, especially as you get older.
